ABOUT STERLING SURVEYS

Sterling Surveys provides a professional service for architects, engineers and home owners.

We have been heavily involved in providing CPR35 expert witness reports in numerous boundary dispute cases, including Court appearances, acting as either Single or Joint Experts.

Independent

We are an independent company, owned by the staff and directors meaning every team member has a vested interest to contribute and perform to the best of their ability, this results in our clients receiving the highest levels of professionalism and quality of work.

Sterling LaptopThe values of individual projects have varied between £200 and £250,000.

The Company operates throughout the United Kingdom and internationally from offices in London and Yorkshire.

The Directors and Senior Staff have very wide experience in managing and executing overseas projects in Europe, the Far East, Africa, and the Middle East.

Many of our current staff have graduate or professional qualifications.

All commissions are carried out by our own staff; we do not use free-lance or agency personnel.

Written statements of Company Policy, rules and guidance on: Health and Safety, Racial Discrimination, Equal Opportunities, Confidentiality, and Professional Conduct, are given to all employees.

Surveyors all carry Company Photo-Identity Cards when working in the field.

Boundary Dispute Solicitor – If you are looking for an accurate plan of your garden or home, we can supply them.

Building or Estate Manager – If you manage large areas of land and buildings you may require accurate plans for development, refurbishment or even just for record purposes. We can provide this information.

Chartered Surveyors – Quantity surveyors, project managers and building surveyors can all benefit by having accurate measured survey drawings of their sites. Our surveys are accurate, clear to read and totally reliable.

Consulting Engineers – Whatever aspect of engineering you specialise in, we can provide accurate survey plans and 3D models to assist you in finding a solution to the complex problems with which you regularly have to deal.

Developers – If you have a piece of land which you wish to develop we can provide you with an accurate plan showing boundaries, levels, trees and other relevant information.

Individual Clients – If you are looking for an accurate plan of your garden or home, we can supply them.

Historic Building Restorer – You will greatly benefit from having an accurate measured survey plan of your building of interest. We are experts in the production of such information.

Chris Carter
Chris CarterDirector
Chris has been at Sterling Surveys since 2006 after completing a degree in Physical Geography. He has built up an array of experience in his time, while moving up through the company. Chris’s speciality is in the monitoring of movement in structures and land.
Peter Wightman
Peter WightmanTechnical Director
Peter joined Sterling Surveys as a founding Director and has created the software used by the surveyors to create large scale plans. Peter now leads the technical department and continuously reviews this software to ensure Sterling Surveys can meet the new technical challenges in an ever evolving industry.
Andrew Lynch
Andrew LynchRegional Manager & Boundary Surveyor
Andrew established the office in Yorkshire for Sterling Surveys in 1993. He is an RICS accredited Expert Witness and with 40 years of experience in land surveying he is now heavily involved in providing reports in numerous boundary dispute cases, including court appearances, acting as Single or Joint Expert.
Paul Cross
Paul CrossSenior Surveyor
Paul joined Sterling Surveys in 2010, after graduating from the University of Bradford with a degree in Archaeology. He earned himself Best Student award at the Survey Associations surveying course. He is working towards becoming an Associate member of the RICS.
